What Stops Us !!!

What's Stopp'ing' me & probably u too!!

The title was chosen out of our own experience, from the time we stepped into testing career till date.

This time we came up with yet another unusual and useful discussion which was basically about what is that which stops us in becoming a credible tester.

'Lack of skill set' is the point which strikes our mind.

As we all know in the current trend, testing environment is very challenging and fully equipped which is making our professional life tough to survive as reliable testers in the industry.

What stopped us to gain skills?
1. We are happy with what we have.
2. Being lethargic, by thinking what big result I am going to achieve if i do this.
3. Lack of awareness about the market standards and happenings.
4. Procrastinating things.
5. Anyhow interviewer is going to ask some default 10 questions in testing which is asked irrespective of how much ever experience we have. It was practically experienced by us in the last 2 interviews where we almost came across the same set of questions across the employers. I am sure most of us are sailing in the same boat.

We realized that these reasons acts as show stoppers and we should find ways to overcome these hurdles around us to become show rockers in testing career.

We feel that 70% of us are having these hurdles which stop us from being credible (i.e) Skillful testers. If you are among the 70%, try to jot down your hurdles or obstacles that has come into your way and share the mitigation if you have implemented any. If you are among the 30% we are looking forward for your valuable suggestions to overcome these hurdles.
We are currently among the "70% testers - the majority Community" and will soon be able to give inputs for breaking the boundaries.
